Haunted Library 2009
Today we had our annual Haunted Library program at the Allen Park Public Library where I work. We had 205 kids which was excellent since we had only planned on 140! I was a bag of jelly beans, so I thought I'd share the pictures of me in my costume. I sat and read Halloween stories to kids for 2 hours while they came through the library. I was glad I was stationary while wearing this costume because it was rather hard to get around in!

Back from Germany
After posting a lot of slideshows, I've decided it's time to update the blog with some actual writing! The slideshows should end now since I am home from Germany. Brian probably won't take too many more pictures, so I don't anticipate putting any more pictures up of the trip.
I got home Tuesday night about 7:30 pm and had a friend from church pick me up from the airport. I was exhausted because I had almost been awake for 24 hours. I slept really good that night and have been sleeping good ever since! My body hasn't completely adjusted!
Brian is still in Germany until Oct. 17. I can't wait for him to get home! He's getting a little sick of being there also and is looking forward to coming home and getting back to normal life again.
So far, I've just been running errands and getting things back in order since I got home. I've had to get three weeks of our mail, fill a couple of prescriptions, get gas in the car, get groceries, and file a police report. While I was gone, someone tried to break into Brian's car. The driver's side door handle is broken and someone obviously tried to get into the lock. I had to file a police report in order for our insurance to cover it, but they probably still won't cover the repair because it won't cost more than our deductible. It was a bit of a bummer to come home to this, but I'm glad that the only thing they broke was the door handle and they didn't actually get into the car. There wasn't anything of value in the car anyway!
Tomorrow I go back to work and today I've gotta get started on my homework again after taking a few days off for traveling and running errands. We'll continue to keep you updated on whatever our next adventures hold for us!
